A DOPENESS Manifesto
In order to live a life in which one exudes dopeness, one must feel dope at all times. For one to achieve such a high level of consistent dopeness, one must surround themselves with dope. This means that one must have dope comrades. One must make their living by doing something dope. One must look dope. Eat dope. Above all, one should spread dopeness in all that they do. Others should feel dope just by being in your presence. Dopeness levels of this magnitude can be achieved, but in order to achieve such levels of zen-like dopeness one must know the secret.
Dopeness can only be achieved if one believes that they are dope. No one can tell you that you are dope and it become so. Dopeness is a state-of-being. When one knows that they are dope, all that they do then becomes dope by extension. It is not the action itself; it is the individual. Therefore, one must strive for high levels of self-confidence. When such a state is achieved, one will find that dopeness is within their grasp. It is only then that an individual can achieve such DOPENESS.

Adam “MCA” Yauch. Rest in Peace
Visualizing the realism of life and actuality
Fuck who’s the baddest, a person’s status depends on salary
And my mentality is money-orientated
I’m destined to live the dream for all my peeps who never made it
Cause yeah, we were beginners in the hood as 5 percenters
But something must of got in us cause all of us turned to sinners
Now some resting in peace and some are sitting in San Quentin
Others such as myself are trying to carry on tradition
Keeping the effervescent street ghetto essence inside us
Cause it provides us with the proper insight to guide us
Even though, we know somehow we all gotta go
But as long as we leaving thieving
We’ll be leaving with some kind of dough
So, until that day we expire and turn to vapors
Me and my capers will be somewhere else stacking plenty papers
Keeping it real, packing steel, getting high
Cause life’s a bitch and then you die
AZ’s verse on “Life’s a Bitch”.
How can you argue that Hip-Hop isn’t poetry when this verse exists?
Twitter reaction after black Washington Capitals player Joel Ward scored the game-winning goal against the Boston Bruins in the NHL playoffs. Last year, a fan threw a banana peel at black Philadelphia Flyers player Wayne Simmonds. Very interesting to see how sports audiences respond to racially anomalous players (see also: Jeremy Lin).
Jesus christ man… fuck this shit.
